Only 60 years ago women won the right to open their own bank account without depending on their father or husband in Brazil. The law has changed since then, but the culture has not. Even today, women are not taught how to handle money, think they don’t know how to invest and are still a minority in the finance market. They don’t even talk about it.

So how can we break this taboo?

Santander and the CAPS/W3haus agency launched the Donas da Conta podcast. To speak directly and honestly about topics that are essential in anyone’s financial day-to-day, creator Carla Lemos was chosen to pilot the interviews, each day with a different subject and a different guest influencer. The idea is that listeners can be inspired to have similar conversations with friends, family and colleagues.
